There is a basic cost for our initial comprehensive physician examinations, follow-up visits, diagnostic tests, and individual therapies and treatments. There is also a set price for the one-, two-, and three-week Back to Health Programs, which include education, workshops, exercise, and meals.
Complete costs vary, depending upon the particular diagnostics and therapies your doctor feels are necessary. Because each patient is unique and each health concern requires a different treatment approach, your Whitaker Wellness physician will work with you to determine what diagnostic testing, lab work, supplements, and therapies will help get you back on the road to health.
We offer discounted packages for multiple therapy sessions, as well as a price break for companions of Back to Health Program participants who are also medical patients. Everyone enrolled in this program also receives a 10% discount on nutritional supplements in our vitamin and bookstore for the duration of their stay.
Questions About Pricing
How do your prices compare to other alternative medical facilities?
This is a tough question because there really isn’t anyone else out there that does everything that we do. Whitaker Wellness offers education, testing, therapies, meals, and more—all under one roof. We are a medical clinic that provides safe, integrative therapies to address your health concerns, with a skilled physician and team of wellness professionals supporting you every step of the way. However, we also focus on lifestyle changes and individualized nutritional supplement programs, aimed at keeping your health problems in check for the rest of your life. Although there are other clinics out there that provide a handful of the therapies and treatment programs we offer, no other facility comes close to providing everything that we do at the Whitaker Wellness Institute. Do you take insurance?
Whitaker Wellness is a Blue Shield, Blue Cross, and United Healthcare provider. Depending on your policy, your insurance may cover your physician evaluations, laboratory and diagnostic tests, and some of our therapies such as EECP. Only a handful of companies cover our full gamut of therapies or the educational portion of the Back to Health Program. Please check with your insurance company for details on your personal policy.
Payment is due at the time services are rendered. However, we are happy to courtesy bill your insurance company or provide you with an itemized statement that you may submit for possible reimbursement of qualifying medical charges.
Do you accept Medicare?
Whitaker Wellness Now Accepts Medicare!
First, I am happy announce that Whitaker Wellness now accepts Medicare. Like most clinics of its kind, Whitaker Wellness used to operate on a cash-only basis. Unfortunately, even though we keep out-of-pocket costs as low as possible, they are prohibitive for many people.
Therefore, we are now accepting several of the major insurance plans and recently signed on with Medicare. No, insurers don’t cover all the therapies at Whitaker Wellness, but this switch has enabled more patients to consult our wonderful MDs, DO, and nurse practitioner, who have extensive training and experience in both conventional and alternative medicine.
If financial concerns have prevented you from becoming a Whitaker Wellness patient in the past, call us at 866-944-8253 to learn about our special programs for Medicare enrollees. Covered services include:
- A “Welcome to Medicare” introductory one-time preventive visit, which includes a review of your medical history, vital signs, body mass index, vision test, and education and counseling about preventive services. (Must be done within 12 months of signing up for Part B.)
- Annual “Wellness” visits, including personalized health advice and updates on your treatment plan.
- Primary care visits with our practitioners, who have expertise in lifestyle changes, nutritional supplements, bioidentical hormones, and noninvasive therapies.
I’m not sure I can afford the Back to Health Program. What are my options?
We offer CareCredit, a medical credit card you can apply for that, if approved, will allow you to make payments over 12 months, interest-free. You could also consider opting for a one- or two-day visit for a physician evaluation, blood workup and other diagnostic tests, and limited therapies.
